About FT

Welcome to the official site of the band Frozen Taco. FT has its origins long ago in the halls of Brookstone School in Columbus, Georgia. Over thirty years later, the band still exists and releases music from time to time, but certainly not at the pace of those early days.

New to FT?

If so, here’s a quick primer:

FT currently releases a new album every few years. Most of the latest songs feature Theron on guitar and Matthew’s vocals. A representative album of FT’s latest style is Relic, released in 2005. Here’s the first song from Relic, “Living in the Now”:

In the 80s, FT was a much different band, featuring the original quartet of Matthew, Theron, Carlos and Dave. While unpolished, the songs have an aura of good friends being silly. Frozen Taco I is the best example of this incarnation of the band. Here’s a fun song from Frozen Taco I, the ever-popular “Pecans”:

This website was created for everyone who has at some point come into contact with Frozen Taco. Many of those will be people from the high school days who may get a good laugh from rediscovering songs about school life, principals, and random nonsense. Others will be friends and other musicians who met us after those days, maybe those who were at our live concert. Now anyone can trace the history and transformation of Frozen Taco, because every FT song ever recorded is available for free download or listening. If you’re also interested in new FT tunes, then this is the right place, because we’ll also use this website to release new songs. So, use the website’s RSS feature to be notified when new music is available.
